The practical guide to set up your account, install your devices and analyze the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) in your building(s)

Updated over a week ago

πŸ‘‹ Welcome to Airthings for business

We created this guide to help you get started with the Airthings for Business solution. This guide assumes that you've purchased Airthings for Business devices and are ready to measure the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) in your building.

Step 1: Getting access to the Business Dashboard

Access to the Airthings for Business Dashboard is by email invitation only. You cannot create an account yourself. After purchasing Airthings devices, you will receive an invitation email from the vendor.

Once you accept the invitation, you can log in at https://dashboard.airthings.com/.

For more information on how to gain access, read this article.

Step 2: Invite other users to your account

Once you have access, you can also invite other users to the dashboard. You can invite them now so they can help set up the account and install the devices, but you can also invite users after the installation is completed.

Step 3: Create your building and spaces

In the Airthings Dashboard, you can:

  • Create your building

  • Add spaces to your building

Spaces are the areas or rooms where you want to measure the IAQ. This can be any type of space: offices, classrooms, open landscape areas, kitchens, etc.

You can read how to add buildings and spaces here and do this on this page.

Step 4: Download the Airthings for Business app

The Airthings for Business app is the fastest and easiest way to install the devices on-site.

Scan the QR code below to download the app.

After downloading the app, you can log in, using the same credentials as for the Business Dashboard.

Step 5: Install the devices

Hubs

  • Always start with installing the Hubs first

  • Add the Hubs to the designated spaces in the Business app.

  • Mount and power the Hubs

Sensor devices

  • Add the sensor devices to the designated spaces in the Business app.

  • Mount the devices.

Here you find more detailed installation guidelines and the installation manual

Step 6: Set up your subscription

To get the most out of the Airthings Dashboard, you need to set up a subscription. If you have purchased devices through a partner, they will manage your subscription, so no action is needed on your part.

Congratulations! You have now set up your account and installed the devices. Your building's Indoor Air Quality will be monitored. Below are some additional steps to optimize your account and review the IAQ data.

Step 7: Add the devices to the floor plan

By adding the device to the floor plan, you'll be able to see exactly where you've installed your devices, allowing you to compare sensor values in different rooms and get a good understanding of the distance between the sensors and the Hub.

Step 8: Look at the IAQ in your building

When you have gathered enough data, it is time to explore the Business Dashboard and look at the Indoor Air Quality in your building. We like to guide you in the articles below:
