Business Dashboard: floor plans

Map your building and get a visual overview of your indoor air quality with the floor plans

Updated over a month ago

Intro

The Airthings Business Dashboard allows you to easily upload a floor plan of your building and map out Spaces. This feature lets you plan and map Spaces in advance of device installations, ensuring a smoother setup process. Once the devices are installed, you'll have a clear visual overview of your device fleet and the IAQ data across different Spaces.

Mapping Spaces on the floor plan

Upload a floor plan

  • Open your building and switch to the Floor plan view

  • Upload a Floor plan

  • Add the Floor and a Name

  • Click Add to save

Draw a Space on the floor plan

Once you have uploaded a floor plan, you start drawing the Spaces on it:

  1. Click Draw Space.

  2. Draw a space on the floor plan image (you can edit the shape after step 3).

  3. Create a new Space or select an existing Space.

  4. (optional) Edit the shape by dragging corners.

  5. Done! Repeat until the entire floor is mapped.

Tip: Enable full-screen mode for a more focused mapping experience.

Examples

Create a new Space

  • Learn how to create a brand-new Space on your floor plan and map it effectively.

Adding an Existing Space

  • Easily place an existing Space onto the floor plan and adjust its shape as needed.

Using the floor plan

Spaces with no devices or hubs will be empty and gray. Once devices or hubs are installed (or if they were there already) the spaces will show different information depending on the available data.

  • Sensor data: Filter between different real-time IAQ parameters. Options depend on what data is available for each floor.

  • Device data: View if devices or hubs are offline, connection status and battery status.

Managing spaces and floors

You can update or remove Spaces from the floor plan at any time. Additionally, entire floor plans can be edited or deleted as needed.
