To see the sensor data in the dashboard, you need to add your building(s) to your account. We recommend adding buildings and devices using the Airthings for Business App, but you can also do this in the business dashboard.
Adding buildings to your account
Before you can add devices, you need to add buildings. In the menu on the left, you go to Buildings.
If you haven't created a building yet or you want to create a new building, you can click on the button +Add building.
Click on one of the yellow buttons to add a building
Fill in all the required fields and save the building. We strongly recommend enabling Opening Hours as this info is necessary to generate reports. Once the building is created, you will see it on the Buildings page.
Adding Spaces
The introduction of Spaces has changed the way you add devices to your account. You can now create your Building and Spaces before ever assigning a device. You can also create a space when enrolling a device as you'll see below.
Once you've selected a building you will be taken to the new Space screen. You will see the current outdoor weather along with a list of your spaces and air quality parameters as seen in the image below.
Devices that were already enrolled to an account have been converted to a space. New devices and spaces can be added by clicking the Add space button above the IAQ information.
A pop-up window will appear asking for the following details:
Name
Floor
Room Type
Height
Area
Ventilation Zone
Adding devices
After the space has been created you can add your hubs and sensors. Spaces without any devices will display the option to add one: + Add device.
The next screen will present the option to add a serial number and Device ID. One space can support up to three devices at once.
If your space already has at least one sensor, you can add more by clicking the + in the top right corner of the screen.
If you don't see the Buildings button in the menu on the left, you are likely looking at the consumer dashboard or partner portal.
The business account is typically set up by Airthings during the purchase process by your Sales Contact or by the Airthings for Business Customer Success Team (if you purchased directly from the website). Something may have gone wrong in this process, so please contact us so that we may upgrade your account to a business account.
