Business App: How to solve enrollment errors

A quick guide to resolving enrollment errors on the business app.

Error message

Error: Device registered to a different user

The device may already be enrolled in your account. Check your device list to confirm.

If the device is not in your account, please contact support.

Error: Communication error

Communication errors in the Airthings for Business app could point to a bluetooth or firmware issue. Follow the steps below:

Bluetooth

  1. Make sure your phone and the Airthings app are up to date

  2. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone

  3. Confirm the battery tabs have been removed and the device is powered on:

    • Wave in front of the device (Space Plus, Space Pro, Space CO2)

    • Press the Airthings logo (Space CO2 Mini)

Firmware

  1. Remove the battery tab and confirm the device is powered on (see above)

  2. Try enrolling the device via the Airthings for Business Dashboard instead of the app

  3. If enrollment is successful, allow up to 8 hours for the Hub to push a firmware update

Error: Invalid credentials

Double-check that the device serial number and ID have been entered correctly.
