Find out what the different light on the Hub mean

Updated this week

The light of the Hub

On the Hub, you see three lights:

1. The power light

The power light shows that the Hub is receiving power. If the light is off, ensure the DC adapter is securely connected to both the Hub and the power outlet. Note that in some buildings, the power supply may be controlled by a light switch or automated system, which could cause power interruptions.

2. The cloud light

The cloud icon indicates that the Hub is connected to the Airthings cloud. After start-up, it may take a few minutes to establish this connection. If the cloud icon does not light up, there may be issues with cellular coverage (4G Cat-M1) or local Ethernet settings (if an Ethernet cable is used). For more troubleshooting steps, read this article.

3. SmartLink connection

The SmartLink connection icon lights up when at least one sensor is connected to the Hub. Once the Hub's internet connection is established, sensors typically connect within a few minutes. However, devices running older firmware may take up to 8 hours to establish a connection.
