Step 1: Detach the device from the backplate
Hold the device with one hand. With the other hand, insert a flat-head screwdriver into the gap between the device and the backplate, then gently twist to release the device. The backplate will remain on the wall. Only the main device body will come off.
Step 2: Replace the batteries
Remove the old batteries and insert the new ones. Make sure they are inserted in the correct orientation (+ and -).
Step 3: Reattach the device
Place the device back onto the backplate until it clicks into place.
